double posting

From: Gwen and Don Jackson (foxsecurity@earthlink.net) | Date: 2004-03-15 09:06:33 UTC-08:00
Does any one know why the double posting occurs when I utilize the reply on the message page? It does not occur when I write in directly as I am doing now.

As we say in the software biz, Error Above the Keyboard?

:-)

With Yahoo Groups, there's no telling how or why these glitches occur. But
you can check to see if you have two copies of the message in your outbox,
in which case see the above.

Don,
Perhaps I can help with this one... if you click "reply to all", it your post will be sent twice. Try clicking "reply"... that should keep it to one reply to the group.
Hope this helps.

There is no record of the post in my out box when I utilize the
reply on the message list as I am doing now. The only time there is
a record is when I send regular email to the chat list.

I am clicking on "Reply". There is no listing for "reply to all".
This is not our regular email service. I am using the reply section
on the yahoo groups page. There is a spot just above the post that I
am using when I respond to the message. There is a line that has
Reply]Forward]View Source]Unwrap Lines. I click on "Reply" and it
pulls up a page to write text. When I send out replies it is not
shown in our outbox and it is only then that the messages show up
twice on the list. I believe also when we have used "Contact Placer"
that too doesn't show in our out box, but in that case we wouldn't
know if it is being sent twice. My guess is that when THIS POST
goes out there will be the same message sent twice. I'm not sure
that this is that unusual as I have seen other posts listed twice
from other folks and there may be some sort of glitch when this form
of reply is used.We receive only digests rather than individual
emails so that is why I sometimes use this way to send a reply.Don
